I have added two more things this week to go with everything else that I am doing to try to lose the weight. The two things I added this week are no more deep fried foods and I shaved.

My weight is 246, that is only one pound less. (on the video I said 2, whoops)

So this is a list of the things that I am doing to lose weight:

Only water to drink
Very very limited red meats
No more sugar
No more deep fried foods
Ride a bike to and from work
Tens (see my video First step for me to get more healthy)
Working out
Parking further from the store
And I shaved to keep an eye on my double chin.

Weight Loss Needs Adaptation Process

For normal person, lose weight is as simple as cutting calories intake. If (normally) you eat 2,300-2,600 calories daily, probably you think you will lose some pounds by eating less. Some people make drastic changes, they eat less than 1,500 calories per day! It is normal? Of course not. It is effective? No.

If you do not agree with my statement, please continue reading. Yeah, you will lose up to five pounds in the next two days (after you begin this absurd change) but you will never lose more pounds in the next few weeks or months. The reason is simple, because you DID NOT lose fats but you lost your muscle tissue and your body water.

Our body needs adaptation process. So if you often eat lots of foods then one day you change it drastically, you will surprise your own body. When you consume low calories foods, your muscle tissue will spread a lot of glycogen and also a lot of water. So in the end, you lose pounds because you lose these glycogen and water. That's all. When you start eating normally again, your body will reproduce the glycogen and water. This is the problem.

Now how to eat properly? Simple. You must eat foods with the right proportion (40% carbohydrate, 40% protein, and 20% fat). You can also eat lesser than usual per meal but you need to change slowly. Take an example from evolution process. You must change your habit slowly, do not take any drastic change in one night. It won't help. If you smart, you can even still eat more than 4,000 calories per day but you will still lose weight. Of course all of these things need time and dedication. You must "guide" your body to follow your direction slowly. Don't surprise your own body.

It's starts off with getting to the point that you are fed up with how you look or feel and the desire to do something about it. One of the most advertised best ways to lose weight fast is the calorie counting method.

The common thought process is that if you are currently taking in 2500 calories a day then all you have to do is cut that to 1500 or 2000 calories a day and you will begin to lose weight. So you start skipping meals. What you do not realize is that with just about any diet program you will see rapid results early on due to the loss of water weight. It is the first thing to go and the reason just about any diet works in the beginning.

A couple weeks in you have lost some weight but you probably feel weak and miserable because along with skipping meals you have not provided your body with the adequate fuel to function on a daily basis. You start thinking how long am I going to have to be hungry and miserable. This is the point most people quit.

The other issue most people do not realize when it comes to these types of programs is the fact that your body will adjust to your new calorie intake and begin to adjust the number of calories it burns accordingly. This will result in a weight loss plateau and another point where people quit because they stop realizing any weight.

I have achieved my fat loss resolution that I have set in September 2007 and in 2008 I like to continue on with this fabulous weight loss system that has worked for me and many of my friends that I have recommended to.
